The frog is important because frog position of the legs is beneficial in treatment of hip disease in children. For instance when we brace children with hip dysplasia. En case jeg har fået lov til at dele af kollega fra Barcelona. Et barn med suprakondylær humerus fraktur. Dvs brud på overarmsknoglens nederste ende. Der kan ofte være problemer med at få bruddet på plads, og barnet kan have fået nerveskader der dig heldigvis oftest forsvinder med tiden. Her vises det flot hvorledes bruddet kan sættes på plads med lukket teknik (dvs uden at bryde huden) og med stabilisering med k-tråde (metaltråde) isat lateralt fra (ydersiden). Den teknik giver den laveste risiko for nerveskader. ,

Ved svært afgledne hofteepifysiolyser foretager vi normalt åben reposition med hoftedislokations teknik. I dette tilfælde var tilstanden også ustabil. Post 2/2 on slipped capital femoral epiphysis. A slip is similar to a scoop of ice cream slipping off the top of a cone. We usually treat severe slips with open reduction using the surgical dislocation technique. This one was unstable too. Images are showing 1) SPECT (Bonescan) after surgery with hot femoral head 2) radiograph before surgery 3) radiograph after surgery 4) Illustration showing slip of the femoral head.
